The Organizational Spine: Supporting Community Engagement

October 30, 2016 Jacob Sherman

I presented last week at the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) 2016 national meeting in Washington, D.C. I spoke on a panel about the Institute for Sustainable Solutions' partnership work through the Sustainable Neighborhoods Initiative.

I had the pleasure of co-presenting with Dr. Stephen Percy, Dean of PSU's College of Urban and Public Affairs, and Amy Spring, Community Research and Partnerships Director in the Office of Strategic Partnerships. My presentation examined how the university supports local sustainability efforts through this community partnership program, and how it fits within PSU's larger partnership spectrum and integrates with other University efforts through the PSU Partnership Council.
